“The staff at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center -all ranks were wonderful with my Dad during his short stay there before he passed. They were truly invested in him and his care. They treated him as an individual, with a name and a story... not just room number ##. They always tried to provide any specific care they could, dietary modifications, extra snacks or chocolate shakes to boost weight. He was clean, dressed and gotten up daily as much as he would tolerate. They really care about the residents sense of pride and dignity for themselves. They always tried to make him and us as his family as comfortable as possible, keeping us involved in his care, not just from a “this is what we are doing” standpoint, rather they would propose, “we think this might be helpful”, “what do you think, is that something we can do?” In addition to the healthcare workers I saw employees of all types, often giving of their own time to do something nice for a resident, even just spending time with them... Theirs is one of the toughest jobs, especially with Covid. These guys are the best.. Thank you for being so caring in such a difficult time in our lives! I highly recommend Pleasant Valley Nursing Center if your loved one needs care whether rehab or LTC.”
